Day 6 - Homer, Alaska

Today we ventured 1.5 hours from Kenai to Homer, Alaska.  The city of Homer (maybe about 4,000 people) thrives on the fishing and tourist industries in the summer.  The "spit" takes you out to the boat docks, little shops (that would be open in the summer), the eagle feeding area (there were none around today), and ends with breathtaking views of the mountains with seagulls flying around.
On the way there, a moose ran across the road, with cars stopping in time to clear the way.  We saw a beautiful sunset (at 5pm) before going to a great sushi restaurant, then returning to Kenai.
